There are times, here where there is so many things to accomplish you can hardly breath. After Jessie's parents left on Saturday we were pretty tired. I am not at all saying we didn't have a great time with them. On the contrary they are the most easiest house guest we have come to stay with us. There is no pressure to see the sights. They were missionaries in Mexico for ten years. They needed help at times trying to understand things as they haven't spoken Spanish for over 20 years, but Jessie's dad preached to our church in Spanish which is pretty impressive. We were sad to see them go but also realizing the need to get back into our routine, especially with Jessie doing homeschooling with the girls. I myself have to get various errand done like, take our dog Boston to the vet to get a haircut, get the car fixed, pay yearly taxes on our Mexican vehicles, and I won't go on but you get the point. Having our family come breaks up our year a bit. It seems so long when you are away for a whole year from your nieces and nephews who change every time you see them.
We were blessed to have my cousin Jason stay with as well. He was also a missionary in Poland for some years. There is something about being on the mission field for long-term that helps you relate to other with the things you have dealt or are currently dealing with. Just having someone come for a visit helps you see things differently. We work very closely with people here. Even the other day, I was at La Roca talking to Rosa about something (Rosa is 17 and getting prepared for college in September). I ended up talking to her about worshipping the Lord and what that looks like. Why do people raise their hands in worship? It is a glimse of how we are able to teach people. She said that if she raised her hands in worship, she would feel like a hypocrite. I was able to speak truth into her life. She was believing a lie about herself. We are encouraged day by day in how we get to influence people with the gospel. I am sure that everyone can relate to the month of December going by very quickly. With a visit from my cousin Jason Hackett and now with my in-laws being here for two weeks, things are not slowing down. I apologize for those of you who regularly check our site. I will be trying get caught up in the next few days. We are feeling very blessed. Having family around really is a huge ble
