Colds and laying low

I have not posted on here the last week or so because we are all laying low. I actually took a few days last week to get a few projects done on the house like painting some chairs and putting in a new kitchen light. Just little things that I have needed to do for the past few weeks but never seem to have time for. We ended up not having a Easter Retreat this year. From the years past, we were so spent and exhausted that we felt we would take a break this year. It turned out to be a good thing as all of our kids have been dealing with a cold that has turned into a cough and earaches. Not fun to see Levi get so congested that he started getting red and gunky eyes every time he would get up from his bed. He was dealing with a fever off and on as well. The girls have all had a fever at various times but just now are feeling better in the last day or two. There is still the constant deep cough that they all are dealing with. So this week we are on the mend, just not what we expected to do during Easter weekend. We had a few things planned but we are having to postpone them until the kids get better. Pray for Jessie and I as we have yet to get sick, praise the Lord! We didn't actually plan on the girls taking time off from school but it is hard to focus on things when your sick. So they may do one or two subjects and that is it.
