For those of you who check this pretty regularly, we will be posting more often in the coming days now that we have more time on . Have a blessed day.
Day two of trying to get a post done here. We are back home after weeks of being in the states. It is hard to remember what day it is. It feels like a dream right now. There are so many things to accomplish. Just the unpacking alone is overwhelming. As I reflect on our time home it was refreshing to see many friends and family. I had one person ask me what I like about being home in to the states, after thinking about it for a few days, I realized it gives us an opportunity to see what God is doing. When you are in the midst of ministry all around you, and seeing people grow in varying degrees you don't see all of it. You step back and start telling people about what God has done and is doing, your faith is renewed. Too often, my mind gets sidetracked with my own expectations. But when you step back and see how God has used you even with your faults, it is a blessing. This is what I feel was the most important thing about being home was. We are now trying to get back to normal life, if there is such a thing.

We are now over half way done with our furlough in the states. It has been a really busy year this year. I won't bore you with all the details of our trip thus far but I will tell you that we started it with our good friends who are missionaries to an Asian country. We spent 5 days in Colorado, where we were very happily pleased to play in the snow. (Five years is a long time to not see snow for a Minnesnowtian) We then moved on to spend time with Clark side of the family in Minnesota. Where we were very busy plus got the stomach flue. Now were are staying with Jessie's brother's house who have three kids. Our kids go to bed very tired at night and are having the time of their lives. My one request is that you continue to pray for our health. It is always a concern when we are traveling and staying with family. I will keep this post brief but I plan to post pictures in the following week as we will be spending our time at Jessie's parent's house who both work during the day.
