On Sunday, we decided to spend the day at a local water park in celebration of Jesus resurrection from the dead. Why not celebrate together!!! It is for this reason we have victory over death through the precious blood of Jesus who willingly gave his life for us. Romans 5:8 "but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
2 Corinthians 5: 17- 21
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (ESV)
What a glorious truth we have in Jesus. Was it not him who took our sin and bore it on the cross. We are new creations in Christ Jesus. Is this not a time of celebration for those who have a new joy in life. To live is Christ and to die is gain!!!!
Why can we not spend a day at a water park together in fellowship together? If we are the body of Jesus and we are all temples of the Holy Spirit can we not have a time of fellowship together anywhere? I would say yes. We are reconciled to God through Jesus. As he hung on the cross, the veil was torn from top to bottom giving us a way to the Father into the holy of holies. This is the reason we live and have our being to fellowship with the Father. If we look back to the very beginning when Adam and Eve sinned against God, while they were hiding in the garden. God said "Where are you?" The God of all creation asking his creation where are you. It demonstrates is love and affection for us his image bearers. What a joy that God wants to spend time with us.
May you have the joy in your heart multiplied greatly during this season of celebration of Jesus death, burial and RESURRECTION!!!
