The rain is here! We have been enjoying a few days this week of rain. Today it is sprinkling constantly. We actually haven't had much rain during the day. It has rained about 3 times during the evening. It really takes the heat out of the air. To talk about the rain is easy for a Minnesotan, but really it effects everything here. A lot of people walk to work so it makes thing a bit difficult for people during the rainy season.
The picture above, is of Jessie's guitar class. She has been teaching some youth how to play the guitar. It is great to see the growth over the past 2 months of being gone how they have been practicing. They all really want to play the guitar so all of them are just soaking up everything that Jessie teaches them. It is encouraging to see them so eager to want to learn so they are able to lead worship. They are learning to play worship songs.
Last night, I was able to share at Cread in El Grullo (a rehab facility). It was a bit different this time. I guess they have excepted more people. I believe there are over 60 people living there now. I am not even going to try to describe what it looks like there, but there are two levels. There is a railing so that you can look over the side and look down on the first level. There was about 20 people sitting in the lower level and about 25 people sitting on the second level where I share from. It was incredible to be able to share with these men about the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead. Many of these men have never really very many stories of the bible. When I asked them if they knew the story of Mary and Martha when Mary sat at Jesus' feet. Only one guy knew the story. Out of 60 people only one had heard the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead. So I am dealing with a group of people with very little Bible knowledge. Where do I speak from next week???
This past week, I was asked to speak with the Cread in Autlan this coming Friday. They said I have 2 hours to share from 6-8 PM and I believe it is on a weekly basis. I am still praying about, if I should take this on because in the coming months, I need to prepare for English classes we are teaching at the beginning of September. I am just going to take it one day at a time. If it is not what I am suppose to do, God will confirm it. God tells us to bring truth. That is all I am trying to do, bring people to the truth. May God receive the glory for HIS work.
