What Happened to August???

The month of August doesn't exist, I tell you. That's what it feels like when you are really busy. The month was filled with saying good bye to three young people from our church, a trip to Guadalajara to help a young family get to some special doctor's appointments and all three girls starting school. Each one of these thing is a big event. Saying good bye was not just saying good bye, it was getting them all squared away with what they needed for school such as socks and shoes (for Chavo and Vicente). They will be missed.
Going to Guadalajara is a trip just going there for the day, but staying the night it makes you feel so out of sorts. It is a who different way of life than being where we live in Autlan. You have to fight traffic no matter where you go. Just visiting Guady (what we call it!) makes you appreciate the small town feel that Autlan has. Yes there are disadvantages but being reminded of how life is more laid back and relaxed here is refreshing. We don't drive over 20 miles an hour in town. You can't go any faster because it is all one way streets with most of them having "stop signs". I say stop signs because sometimes they are optional. Ask anyone who drives here. you can never be totally sure that a motorcycle is not just going to come flying through the intersection not even slowing down when it gets there.
All three of the girls have started school three weeks ago now. Jessie is doing an amazing job trying to joggle between all three and various subjects that each one has to learn. It is stressful at times but she is finding a rhythm to teaching. The girls all love school too. This comes as to a bit of a shock with Lilly. She is the athletic one running all over the place. Yet she is excited to learn. She is doing math, reading, and history. Not to bad for her first time doing school. She is turning 6 on Sunday.
Next week we are also starting English classes back up again. It is one of my main focuses right now as I am calling students and organizing it all. I have two other teaching who will be teaching this year. Pray for us and for my schedule as I am having to re-adjust.
